Introduction of angle iron

Angle steel, commonly known as angle iron, is a long steel with two sides perpendicular to each other. There are equal angle steel and unequal angle steel. The width of two sides of an equal angle steel is equal. The specification is expressed in mm of side width × side width × side thickness. Such as "∟ 30 × 30 × 3", that is to say, equal angle steel with side width of 30mm and side thickness of 3mm. It can also be expressed by model. The model is the centimeter of side width, such as ∟ 3 × 3. The model does not represent the dimensions of different edge thicknesses in the same model, so the edge width and edge thickness of angle steel shall be filled in completely in the contract and other documents, so as to avoid using the model alone. The specification of hot rolled equal leg angle steel is 2 × 3-20 × 3. Angle steel can be used to form various stress members according to the different needs of the structure, and can also be used as the connection between members. It is widely used in various building structures and engineering structures, such as beams, bridges, transmission towers, lifting and transportation machinery, ships, industrial furnaces, reaction towers, container racks and warehouses.

 

 

Angle iron specification

The specification of angle iron is indicated by the dimension of side length and side thickness. At present, the specification of angle iron in China is No. 2-20, with the side length of CM as the number.

The same angle iron usually has 2-7 different edge thicknesses. The imported angle iron shall indicate the actual size and thickness of both sides, and indicate relevant standards. Generally, large angle iron is more than 12.5cm long, medium angle iron is 12.5cm-5cm long, and small angle iron is less than 5cm long.

 The angle steel for inlet and outlet is generally ordered according to the use specification, and its steel grade is the corresponding carbon steel brand. Except for the specification, angle steel has no specific composition and performance series. The conveying length of angle steel can be divided into fixed length and double length. According to the code number, the selection range of angle iron in China is 3-9m, 4-12m, 4-19m and 6-19m, the length range of angle iron in Japan is 6-15m, and the section height of unequal angle iron is calculated according to the length and width of unequal angle iron. Refers to the steel with angular section and unequal length on both sides. This is one of the angle irons.

Its side length is 25 mm × 16 mm to 200 mm × 125 mm. It is rolled by a hot rolling mill. The general specification of unequal angle iron is: 50 * 32 -- 200 * 125, with a thickness of 4-18mm. Unequal angle iron is widely used in various metal structures, bridges, machinery manufacturing and shipbuilding industry, various building structures and engineering structures, such as beams, bridges, transmission towers, hoisting and transportation machinery, ships, industrial furnaces, reaction towers, container shelves and warehouses, etc.
