The plane layout and height requirements of hangar are special, which directly affects the structure of hangar. Due to the large span of hangar, the proportion of structural self weight (mainly refers to roof system) in the total load is also large. If the structural self weight can be reduced, the obvious economic effect can be obtained. The steel structure has the advantages of high strength, light weight, small cross-section, weldability and simple manufacturing process.

The hangar roof of London Airport is a flat grid structure with two-way skew cross truss. The plane size is 170.15 × 83.62 meters, and it is composed of prefabricated tubular truss. The steel is high-strength steel with a yield strength of 450 MPa. The whole roof is supported on 8 columns. In addition to the general load, the roof also bears 700 tons of equipment weight. The hangar roof of Frankfurt Airport in Germany adopts the structure of hanging plate and belt, with the plane dimension of 270 × 100m, divided into two spans. Each span is composed of 10 strips of 135 meters long and 7 meters wide.

The high-strength bolt belongs to a standard part, which is initially tightened before final tightening during construction, and is generally used for permanent connection. It is used in steel structure engineering to connect the connection points of steel structure steel plate.

The connection pair of large hexagon head high-strength bolt is composed of one bolt, two washers and one nut. The bolts, nuts and washers shall be used in accordance with table 5-10.

Large hexagon head high-strength bolts shall be stored according to specifications after acceptance and warehousing. It shall be rainproof and moisture-proof, and shall not be used in case of thread damage or bolt and nut are not matched.

When the large hexagon head high-strength bolt is stored for a long time or rusted, the tightening axial force shall be checked by sampling, and it can only be used after meeting the requirements. The bolts shall not be stained with dirt or oil, and must be cleaned.
